Rasheim Donaldson is a personal injury attorney at Grey & Grey, PLLC. Rasheim was born and raised in New York City. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Lafayette College, Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University Law School, and LLM in Trial Advocacy from Temple University Law School. 

Before joining Grey & Grey, Rasheim was a Deputy Borough Chief in the New York City Law Department's Family Court Division where he oversaw a wide range of serious juvenile delinquency cases in Brooklyn. Rasheim received the 2023 New York City Bar Association Municipal Affairs Award for his outstanding achievements with the New York City Law Department.

Prior to joining the Law Department, Rasheim served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx where he investigated and prosecuted a vast array of violent and high-profile cases. He tried several cases to verdict ranging from official misconduct to murder. Rasheim has substantial investigatory, legal research, and trial experience. 

Most recently, Rasheim has been appointed to the Board of Governors of the New York State Attorney-Client Fee Dispute Resolution Program (FDRP) by Appellate Division, First Department, Presiding Justice Dianne T. Renwick. The Board of Governors oversees local arbitration and mediation programs, which have successfully resolved thousands of attorney-client fee disputes. The FDRP is a meaningful part of the state judiciary’s efforts to improve lawyer professionalism and client satisfaction.

 

Rasheim serves on the Lafayette College Northeast Advisory Council, which supports the strategic initiatives of the College and helps strengthen its standing as a top liberal arts and engineering institution.  Rasheim is on the Board of the Nyamwange Foundation, an impactful nonprofit organization that empowers young people by providing educational enrichment, financial literacy, and cultural immersion experiences.

 

Before becoming a lawyer, Rasheim was an English teacher at the public high school that he attended in Harlem and a program director for a nonprofit organization in East New York, Brooklyn. Rasheim is often called upon to deliver speeches, participate in panel discussion presentations, and contribute to bar association committees.   

 

Rasheim enjoys achieving justice for victims, participating in community outreach, mentoring students, and growing professionally. Outside of work, Rasheim enjoys spending time with his wife and two young daughters in Commack.
