Who is eligible for Fund benefits?

Any person with a physical injury or illness resulting from presence in the Exposure Zone from September 11, 2001 to May 30, 2002 may be entitled to Fund benefits. The Fund does not make awards for solely mental health conditions. An applicant need not be a US citizen. Surviving relatives of a person who died from a 9/11 related illness or injury also may apply for benefits.
