Grey & Grey attorneys Maribel Gomez and Rasheim Donaldson continue to make considerable contributions to the courts, bar associations, schools, and communities.
Maribel has been appointed by New York State Chief Administrative Judge Joseph A. Zayas as a member of the Judicial Hearing Officer Selection Advisory Committee for the Second Department – Tenth Judicial District. The Selection Advisory Committee plays a significant role in the selection process by evaluating and recommending candidates for the position of Judicial Hearing Officer.
Maribel’s appointment coincides with her other notable roles, including her tremendous leadership as President of the Long Island Hispanic Bar Association, an organization dedicated to promoting and fostering the advancement of Hispanic attorneys and the Hispanic community on Long Island, and member of the Suffolk County Bar Association Membership Services Committee.
Rasheim has been appointed by Appellate Division, First Department, Presiding Justice Dianne T. Renwick to the Board of Governors of the New York State Attorney-Client Fee Dispute Resolution Program (FDRP). The Board of Governors oversees local arbitration and mediation programs, which have successfully resolved thousands of attorney-client fee disputes. The FDRP is a meaningful part of the state judiciary’s efforts to improve lawyer professionalism and client satisfaction.
Rasheim’s appointment is a complement to his service on the Lafayette College Northeast Advisory Council, which supports the strategic initiatives of the College and enhances its standing as a top liberal arts and engineering institution, and on the Board of the Nyamwange Foundation, a nonprofit organization providing educational and cultural opportunities to young people.
Maribel and Rasheim demonstrate the firm’s unwavering commitment to education and service.
