Workers and the Cannabis Industry

Now that cannabis is legal in New York State for both medical and recreational use, the number of businesses involved in supporting the cannabis industry will increase quickly. This rapid growth will create many new jobs, from the growing of marijuana plants, all the way through retail sales at dispensaries. Please join us, along with NYCOSH, the Long Island Federation of Labor and other cannabis industry experts for a discussion of:

1. The types of union jobs available in the industry;

2. The potential safety and health issues created by the industry; and

3. Legal issues for all workers to consider.
