Workers Compensation and Long Covid

On Wednesday, June 21st , from 10:00am ET -1:00pm ET the New York Committee on Occupational Health will hold a forum on Workers Compensation and Long Covid. Workers with long Covid who contract the disease in the workplace can benefit significantly by utilizing workers’ compensation. The forum will examine Long Covid and how Workers Compensation can play a role in a worker’s treatment and general well-being. It will focus on

Long Covid as an occupational health crisis

  • Its effect at the workplace

  • Workers Compensation Underutilization

  • Benefits and Precautions

It will feature Dr. David Putrino, Director of Rehabilitation Innovation Mount Sinai Health System Dr. Zoey Laskaris, Assistant Professor at the Barry Commoner Center for Health & Environment, Queens College, Robert Grey, Esq. Managing Partner, Grey & Grey, LLP, and Lisa Baum Lead Occupational Health & Safety Representative for the New York State Nurses Association.
